Privacy notice

12 October 2026

Court AI is operated by a team of contributors across multiple jurisdictions. This notice describes how Court AI handles information through this developing legal information resource. For privacy enquiries or requests concerning your information, contact support@courtai.legal.

Optional usage analytics

With your permission, Court AI records page and article views, jurisdiction selections, search actions, sharing clicks and clicks through to the newsletter form. Analytics includes the time, approximate country where available, a broad traffic-source category, and random browser and tab-session identifiers. These identifiers help estimate distinct browsers and return visits; they do not tell us who you are.

We do not store your search words, IP address, full referring URL, name, email address, firm or subscriber profile in the analytics database. Hosting infrastructure still processes network requests to deliver and protect the service. Analytics is stored in the site’s Cloudflare D1 database through its hosting provider. Analytics records are retained for up to 90 days; records older than that are excluded from reporting and removed on the next incoming analytics event.

Analytics runs only after you choose Allow analytics. Declining does not limit access. We also honour the browser’s Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Change your analytics choice. Withdrawing permission stops future collection and removes analytics identifiers from this browser; previously recorded events remain until retention expiry.

Browser storage

The site stores your analytics choice and, if accepted, a random identifier lasting up to 90 days. A separate session identifier lasts for the browser tab session. For the site owner, an exclusion preference prevents their visits being counted. This is stored in the browser and a cookie for up to one year. Recognised owner browser IDs are excluded from reports; server exclusion entries expire with the 90-day analytics retention process. Saved research bookmarks are stored locally in your browser. Clearing browser storage removes these preferences and identifiers.

Newsletter subscriptions

The registration form is hosted by Brevo. It requests your email address, firm or organisation, location and consent to receive Court AI updates, alerts and newsletters. Confirmation is required before subscribing. Subscriber information is used to manage subscriptions and send the communications you request; it is not linked to website analytics. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or contact us. Brevo maintains subscriber, consent and delivery records as part of providing this service. See Brevo’s privacy information.

Contact, hosting and external services

If you email Court AI, we receive your email address and the information you provide so we can respond. Please avoid sending confidential client material. Court AI uses Sites hosting and related infrastructure; private access and dashboard sign-in use ChatGPT authentication. Those services process account and technical information under their own terms and privacy notices. External source links, LinkedIn sharing, email links and the Brevo form take you to services with their own privacy practices. Service providers may process information in countries outside your own.

Your choices and enquiries

You can decline analytics, change your choice at any time, unsubscribe from email updates, or contact support@courtai.legal to request access, correction or deletion of information you have provided. Random analytics identifiers are not linked to subscriber identities, so we cannot normally identify an individual’s analytics history from their name or email alone.
